Why is Physical and Health Education Important?

Picture
PHYSICAL LITERACY & WELLNESS
Through the development of physically literacy skills, we better understand how our bodies feel when we move so we appreciate and look for ways to be active. It also promotes a desire to acquire new skills, try new activities and be active for life. Through participation in PHE activities we try to foster an understanding of how physical activity benefits both our physical health along with our emotional and mental health. We learn that daily physical activity benefits all aspects of our well-being.

Hello and welcome to my physical literacy and wellness website!

I am a teacher and Hockey Canada Skills Academy instructor at Osoyoos Elementary.

I enjoy learning and teaching in many subject areas. I am especially passionate about physical activity and wellness!
I enjoy spending my time outside and dislike being stuck inside! Through my new adventure in website design I hope to encourage physical activity and wellness, while motivation all to spend more time outside enjoying our precious natural environment here in the South Okanagan!

A special thank-you to Mr. Lewis and his patience for helping me with this Website!

“Today, I choose to live with gratitude for the love that fills my heart, the peace that rests within my spirit, and the voice of hope that says all things are possible.”— Anonymous
